The Greek Word for “partner” means to be a participant, sharer, associate, fellow and a partaker.  Through partnership there is mutual blessing both on the minister and or ministry and those who will give to further the Kingdom of God.



 “And you Philippians yourselves well know that in the early days of the Gospel ministry, when I left Macedonia, no church (assembly) entered into partnership with me and opened up [a debit and credit] account in giving and receiving except you only.  For even in Thessalonica you sent [me contributions] for my needs, not only once but a second time. Not that I seek or am eager for [your] gift, but I do seek and am eager for the fruit which increases to your credit [the harvest of blessing that is accumulating to your account]. But I have [your full payment] and more; I have everything I need and am amply supplied, now that I have received from Epaphroditus the gifts you sent me. [They are the] fragrant odor of an offering and sacrifice which God welcomes and in which He delights. And my God will liberally supply (fill to the full) your every need according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 4:15-19)

Paul was not timid about reminding his readers of the importance of financial support in ministry.  When you support a ministry with your money, you are expressing thanksgiving to God for the advancement of the Kingdom of God through that ministry. As you help others do what they are called to do, God will cause increase to come to you.  It will overflow unto others.  Your support is a blessing that never ends.  

“That is why I thought it necessary to urge these brethren to go to you before I do and make arrangements in advance for this bountiful, promised gift of yours, so that it may be ready, not as an extortion [wrung out of you] but as a generous and willing gift.  [Remember] this: he who sows sparingly and grudgingly will also reap sparingly and grudgingly, and he who sows generously [that blessings may come to someone] will also reap generously and with blessings.  Let each one [give] as he has made up his own mind and purposed in his heart, not reluctantly or sorrowfully or under compulsion, for God loves (He takes pleasure in, prizes above other things, and is unwilling to abandon or to do without) a cheerful (joyous, “prompt to do it”) giver [whose heart is in his giving]. [Prov. 22:9].  And God is able to make all grace (every favor and earthly blessing) come to you in abundance, so that you may always and under all circumstances and whatever the need be self-sufficient [possessing enough to require no aid or support and furnished in abundance for every good work and charitable donation].”  (II Corinthians 5:8)

What Does “Partnership” Mean?

PARTNERSHIP:  A frequent relationship between two or more people working together for one common goal.

Partnership is based on commitment because committed people are the ones who accomplish God’s purpose and bring destruction to the kingdom of darkness.

COMMITMENT:  To say what you will do, and then to follow through and do what you have said.

Commitments are made because we see something we believe in enough that we want to be personally involved.

Whom Should You Support?

Galatians 6:6 says, “Let him who receives instruction in the Word [of God] share all good things with his teacher [contributing to his support].”

Malachi 3:10 says to “bring the whole tithe into the storehouse” (NIV).  Your storehouse is where you go if you have needs.

We believe you should support:

1.  Your local church

2.  The ministries that genuinely feed you the Word of God

3.  Other ministries as the Holy Spirit leads you

A WORD TO OUR PRESENT AND FUTURE PARTNERS

http://www.vijministries.net/home/images/spacer.gifGreetings in the wonderful and blessed name of Jesus to you VICTORS IN CHRIST. Who am I talking to? I am talking to you! You say that you don’t feel like a victor? I have good news for you. Abraham didn’t feel much like the father of many nations when God told him he made him such in Genesis 17:5. In fact, God changed Abram’s name to Abraham. “Nor shall your name any longer be Abram (high, exalted father); but your name shall be Abraham (father of a multitude), for I have made you a father of many nations.” Isaac, through whom God’s promise was made manifest, was not born for some time! But in fact, during that span of time, every time that God called Abraham by name, He was calling him the father of many nations! Two points here. God was in fact calling those things that do not exist as though they did. (Romans 4:17) and Abraham received it and counted it as fact by faith. Look at Romans 4: 17-22. “As it is written, I have made you the father of many nations. He was appointed our father in the sight of in Whom he believed, Who gives life to the dead and speaks of the nonexistent things that He has foretold and promised as they already existed. (Genesis 17:5) For Abraham, human reason for hope being gone, hoped in faith that he should become the father of many nations, as he had been promised, So numberless shall your descendants be. (Genesis 15:5) He did not weaken in faith when he considered the utter impotence of his own body, which was as good as dead because he was about a hundred years old, or when he considered the barrenness of Sarah’s deadened womb. No unbelief or distrust made him waver (doubtingly question) concerning the promise of God, but he grew strong and was empowered by faith as he gave praise and glory to God. FULLY SATISFIED AND ASSURED THAT GOD WAS ABLE AND MIGHTY TO KEEP HIS WORD AND TO DO WHAT HE HAD PROMISED. That is why his faith was credited to him as righteousness (right standing with God).”

Study the above in prayerful meditation. It is truly a key to living in Victory in Jesus. Oh beloved people, you are a Victor in Jesus and you have Victory in Jesus if you will only receive and cling to God’s powerful promises for your life. You must do as Abraham did and stand in faith when everything around you tells you that you will not receive the manifestation of what God said he has already done for you by the shedding of the precious blood of his son.

As you study the great principle of faith outlined, here are some points to ponder. Abraham hoped in faith. This isn’t hope like we know it. Will you receive your healing (could be anything that you are believing for)? YES. Are you healed? I sure hope so. No brothers and sisters, that is not bible hope. It is worldly hope. Worldly hope will get you nowhere. It will keep you defeated. In Romans 4:18, Paul uses the Greek word elpis. Elpis means to anticipate or to expect. Abraham expected what God had promised him to come to pass.

Abraham’s body was as good as dead (that could be some of us to one degree or another). When Abraham saw the circumstances, he did not weaken in faith. In the following verses, Paul does an excellent job at defining faith for us. I like one definition that I read in one concordance-“the system of Gospel truth itself!” Think of it, your faith is truth itself. IT is NOT worldly hope!

No unbelief made him doubt or question the promise of God. How long does it take you to doubt? For some it is even before they get to the parking lot. How did Abraham do it? He stayed focused on the Word and promises of God. Remember, according to Romans 10:17- Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. To strengthen and develop your faith, get into the Word of God. Get there, immerse yourself in it, and stay there. No time or desire to do that?  Then you won’t have the type of faith that John refers to as world overcoming faith in  I John 5:4  “

Look at Abraham one more time. Abraham grew strong and was empowered by faith as he gave praise and glory to God. He was fully assured that God was able to keep his word and do what He had promised.

Faith was credited to him according to righteousness. Remember Mathew 6:33. “Seek ye first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness and all these things will be added unto you.” What do you think Abraham spent his time seeking/pursuing.?
